Lately, I have been putting together a website for a friend of mine. I may as well go ahead and link to it (folksongsingalong.com), make the plug compelte. Complete. Often to help myself focus while I am working on a project, I will have at least something on in the background to "distract" me. Sometimes distractions help me to not get distracted, I can't really explain it further than that. Anyway, I am taking a little time out right now to write about my current distraction, television.
I know lots of people make the complaint that there are so many channels on television, but never anything on. But obviously these people have never seen shows like Modern Marvels on the History Channel. In the past I have been entertained with the "history" of such tools as the shovel, but today it was plywood. I could barely keep my attention on the work I was supposed to be doing. Damn you, history gods! I was hoping for mindless television.
Well, that's... that's all I got. Hope it was distracting, if short.
